9-12 November 2017
KCMA Airport in Camarillo, CA
are invited to attend our 2nd annual Mentor West Fly-In and Veterans Salute,
in Camarillo, CA. (KCMA). We are thrilled to have you join us and we look forward to 4 great days of flying, food, fun and camaraderie.
Following Thursday arrivals, all day Friday, Nov 10, and Saturday afternoon, Nov 11, will focus on 2/3/4 ship formation flying. Saturday morning will consist of a mass formation practice, followed by the mass formation fly-over of Santa Barbara for the Veterans Parade. Saturday night we'll enjoy a BBQ dinner and Sunday is reserved for further formation training and/or departures. Even if you are new to formation flying, we will have qualified pilots available to instruct and evaluate throughout the weekend, so that you have the opportunity to participate in the event.
We believe Saturday's mass formation will be the largest fly-over for a Veterans Day parade anywhere in the United States. Last year we had 20 aircraft, to include Santa Barbara Sheriff's Helicopters, a P-51 Mustang, an F6F Hellcat, multiple T-34's, Nanchang's, Yaks and a B-25. This year we expect multiple B-25s, C-47s, T-34s, CJs, Yaks, etc.
